Boulder Creek vs. Desert Edge
The Boulder Creek Jaguars basketball team cruised to their third win in three days. The Jags played host Desert Edge High School in round two of the tournament and came away with a 49-25 victory.
The Jags played the best on-ball defense all year preventing the Desert Edge guards from penetrating. 6’8” Connor Kuchar dominated in the middle when the ball got inside. The solid defensive effort frustrated Desert Edge forcing bad shots. The most points Desert Edge scored in any quarter was nine.
Ball movement on offense was exceptional. Most Jaguars scoring came off crisp passing which set up easy baskets. Unselfish play lead to a very balanced scoring attack.
Next up is Regis Catholic High School from Colorado at 8pm Friday, December 09, 2011. A win sends the Jaguars to the championship game Saturday night.
